Job summary

Moss Utilities, a Dallas-based leader in underground utility installations, seeks a Field Administrator to support field crews, time-entry, and production tracking across active jobsites. This hands-on role requires travel between sites and daily interaction with Foremen and Superintendents to ensure accurate data flows into Cost Controls and Payroll.

Responsibilities include device provisioning, field training, system adoption, and proactive field-to-office communication.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in field support, field administration, project coordination, construction administration, or a related construction role.
  • Comfortable working on active construction jobsites in varying weather conditions.
  • Strong practical technology skills with the ability to troubleshoot tablets, mobile devices, applications, and connectivity issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Service-oriented and patient with the ability to work effectively with field employees.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility quickly with Foremen, Superintendents, and field crews.
  • Ability to work independently and manage support across multiple active jobsites.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for field technology issues involving tablets, phones, hotspots, connectivity, application access, password resets, and device replacements.
  • Provision, configure, and deploy devices to new crews and new hires.
  • Maintain accurate device assignment and inventory records.
  • Troubleshoot common technology and application issues directly at active jobsites.
  • Escalate issues to corporate IT or software vendors when necessary and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain a log of recurring field technology and system issues.
  • Identify trends and communicate recurring issues to the Director of Project Cost Controls.
  • Support Foremen with daily time entry, including job, phase, and cost code selection.
  • Assist with accurate recording of regular hours, overtime, per diem, and other applicable information.
  • Identify and help correct time-entry errors before payroll deadlines.
  • Coordinate with Payroll regarding missing, incomplete, or incorrect time.
  • Train new Foremen and field employees on time-entry procedures.
  • Provide refresher training as systems and processes change.
  • Identify recurring time-entry issues and work with Cost Controls and Operations to improve the process.
  • Support Foremen and Superintendents in capturing daily production quantities.
  • Help ensure production is reported against the appropriate budgeted cost codes.
  • Reconcile field-reported quantities with information recorded in company systems.
  • Research discrepancies and work directly with field leadership to resolve them.
  • Assist Project Managers and Cost Controls with gathering field-level information needed for cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Reinforce the importance of accurate production reporting and help make tracking a routine part of field operations.
