Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Electronic Actuator Technician to test, troubleshoot, disassemble, repair and reassemble electric actuators in the shop or at customer facilities.

You will determine repair requirements using technical drawings and measuring equipment, overhaul actuators from Limitorque, Bettis, EIM, Auma and Rotork, and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits. Travel to job sites and follow safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• At least 1 year of direct customer service experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and reassembly of electric actuators in shop or at customer facilities.
• Determine repair requirements using technical drawings and measuring equipment.
• Overhaul and repair actuators from brands such as Limitorque, Bettis, EIM, Auma and Rotork.
• Troubleshoot basic electric and electronic circuitry and read diagrams.
• Interfacing actuators with valves: multi-turn vs quarter-turn; close on position vs close on torque.
• Establish SME skill level for actuators and perform service with limited supervision.
• On-site setup and teardown of repair equipment; maintain clean work environment.
• Provide feedback to actuation supervisor and follow guidelines.
