Job summary

ARMI in Lafayette, GA is seeking a dedicated CNC Plasma Machinist to operate our 5-axis pipe cutting machines at active job sites. You’ll ensure precise isometric cuts, weld prep, and timely readiness for the field crew.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years on CNC cutting equipment or related fabrication, can read drawings and weld symbols, and are comfortable traveling to sites. We emphasize safety, reliability, and hands-on ownership. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive field benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC cutting equipment or pipe fabrication experience.
• Ability to read isometric and spool drawings, weld symbols, and cut sheets.
• Experience with plasma cutting of carbon and stainless pipe preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and run the 5-axis CNC plasma pipe cutter across jobsites.
• Bevels and lands cut to the WPS for weld prep and faster fabrication.
• Sequence cuts from drawings to stay ahead of crews.
• Verify dimensions, angles, and bevels before parts leave the conex.
• Mobilize and teardown the conex production station at sites.
• Perform daily torch and machine maintenance and flag issues early.
• Follow safety protocols including hot work permits and PPE.
