Job summary

Explore Industries seeks a dedicated Fiberglass Detailing Specialist to join our yard operations team in Knoxville, TN. You will inspect, detail, clean, and perform basic repairs on molded fiberglass pools and spas to supply a pristine product to customers.

The role requires outdoor work, attention to quality, and safe handling of tools and chemicals. Responsibilities include documenting inspections, repairing minor blemishes, and ensuring finish quality before shipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
0-2 years in manufacturing, detailing, fiberglass/gelcoat work, auto body, or warehouse operations.
Able to work outdoors; respirator fit test.
Skilled with grinders, buffers, saws, sanders, or willing to learn.
Experience with fiberglass/gelcoat repair preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect pools and spas on and off trailers for cleanliness, damage, blemishes, scratches, and workmanship; ensure quality before shipment.
Make basic repairs including sanding and buffing the finish.
Clean, detail, and pressure wash product to deliver a pristine finish.
Document inspections, repairs, and final release electronically.
Control material usage; keep area clean and safe; follow safety practices around tools and chemicals.
Communicate quality findings with the team and work under deadline pressure to meet schedules.
Focus on continuous improvement; perform other duties as assigned; overtime as required.
