Job summary

Hardy Industries is actively seeking skilled Fiber Testing and Splicing Technicians to support our national client base. You will perform OTDR testing, fiber certification, and various field tasks including splicing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

This is a 1099 contractor role with on-site work across multiple environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on fiber testing experience, reliability, and the ability to work independently in diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic testing and troubleshooting experience required.
• At least 1 year of Fiber, I.T., or Telecom experience, or 5+ years field experience.
• Certifications: FOA, CFOT, BICSI, Network+ (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber optic and technical tasks including splicing (fusion/mechanical).
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter tests, light source tests, and fiber certification.
• Inspect, clean, and remediate connectors; replace damaged jumpers.
• Install, terminate, and test single/multi-mode fiber cabling.
• Document test results, splicing records, and project deliverables.
• Work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, corporate, telecom and data center sites.
