Job summary

Docomo Pacific, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Technician I to install, splice, terminate, and maintain fiber optic systems on Guam. You will conduct fiber tests, troubleshoot HFC networks, and help with documentation and diagram updates.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in telecom field work, strong fiber knowledge, and hands-on experience with fusion splicers and OTDRs. On-site role with safety compliance and customer-facing collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of telecommunications field experience.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics; FOA/SCTE or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Experience with HFC or broadband networks preferred.
• Proficient in using fusion splicers, OTDRs, and fiber test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, terminate, and maintain fiber optic systems.
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDRs, light meters, and related tools.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber and HFC systems, including Headend equipment.
• Maintain and update cabling documentation and network diagrams.
• Assist in network expansion projects, site surveys, and system upgrades.
• Provide on-call support and emergency restoration for outages.
• Operate specialized test equipment (Spectrum Analyzers, MPEG Analyzers, PathTrak).
• Follow all safety standards (OSHA, NEC, FCC, and company guidelines).
• Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
