Job summary

Metronet is seeking a Fiber Technician in Broken Arrow, OK to perform basic to advanced installations and service changes for residential and business customers. You will troubleshoot from the fiber terminal to the ONT and CPE, educate customers on Metronet products, and work toward meeting performance metrics.

The role requires physical ability to access attics and crawl spaces, climb ladders up to 25 feet, lift up to 75 lbs, and operate telecom equipment safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• We look for experience with a telecom / fiber company preferred but not required.
• Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods.
• Physical ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
• Climb ladders up to 25 feet with safety gear.
• Lift and carry loads up to 75 lbs including ladder.
• Ability to work with basic hand tools and other equipment with training.
• Valid driver''s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Willingness to work as a team and independently.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot Metronet services from the terminal to Customer Premises Equipment (CPE).
• Provide in-depth customer education on Metronet products and services.
• Earn commissions by explaining Metronet services and products to customers.
• Be professional with customers and fellow associates.
• Work toward meeting key performance metrics.
• Perform on-call rotation duties after regular business hours; overtime as needed; travel for training.
