Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Cabling Technician to support low voltage fiber and structured cabling installations in Western Massachusetts. The contractor will pull, terminate, and test fiber and copper cabling in large commercial and institutional facilities, following project drawings and safety rules.

This onsite contract role requires OSHA 10 certification, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift and work on active job sites.

Qualifications

• Fiber optic cable installation experience.
• Structured cabling experience.
• Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 and coax cables.
• Ability to pull, route, and test cables.
• OSHA 10 Certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Pull and install fiber optic cable in large buildings and facilities.
• Support structured cabling installations including Cat5e, Cat6, coax, and fiber.
• Assist with cable routing, dressing, labeling, and testing.
• Perform fiber terminations and splicing as needed.
• Read and follow project drawings and installation standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Cabling Technician

Location: Southwick MA

Overview

We are seeking Cabling Technicians to support ongoing low voltage infrastructure projects throughout Western Massachusetts. Technicians will be responsible for pulling, installing, terminating, and supporting fiber optic cabling installations in large commercial and institutional facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for technicians with structured cabling and fiber experience who are looking for long-term project work with a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Pull and install fiber optic cable throughout large buildings and facilities
• Support structured cabling installations including Cat5e, Cat6, coax, and fiber
• Assist with cable routing, dressing, labeling, and testing
• Perform fiber terminations and splicing as needed
• Read and follow project drawings and installation standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow OSHA and site-specific safety requirements

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Southwick, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
