Multilink is seeking a workshop assembler to prepare sub-assemblies and finished products to exact specifications using hand and air-powered tools. The role involves mastering the 7-step fiber assembly process and performing in-process testing while reading blueprints and wiring diagrams.

You will work in a team environment, uphold 5S practices, and participate in equipment maintenance. The position requires basic math, reading skills, and reliable attendance with safety as a priority.

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read blueprints, tape measures and calipers.
• Reads and understands shop drawings and basic wiring diagrams.
• Safety-conscious with good attendance.
• Ability to work with various assembly constraints.

Responsabilidades

• Assemble fiber optic products and follow the 7-step process (De-reel, Prep, Connect, Scribe, Polish, Test, Label).
• Identify tooling, hardware and materials per setup documents with supervisor guidance.
• Document material, production and quality control issues.
• Perform operator-level equipment preventative maintenance.
• Safely move materials with a pallet jack and maintain 5S work area.
• Read blueprints to verify specifications and perform in-process inspections.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate with teammates.

This position is responsible for preparing sub-assemblies and finished products to correct length, shape, and orientation according to customer and/or product requirements using hand and air-powered tools.Key Job ResponsibilitiesProficient in assembling Fiber optic products and operating equipment involved such as hand tools and/or air powered tools along with in-process testing equipment.Ability to perform the 7-step process for assembling fiber. (De-reel, Prep, Connect, Scribe, Polish, Test, Label)Identify and select correct tooling/hardware/materials for the job task with setup documents or lead/supervisor assistance.Report and document basic material, production, and quality control issues.Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level.Must be willing to learn and operate/assemble other equipment/parts.Perform daily maintenance to assigned equipment/work center to keep in proper working order.Has the ability to read blueprints to ascertain correct specifications and perform in-process inspections.Has the ability to understand basic wiring diagrams and connection points called out on blueprints or models.Safely move material using pallet jack.Cleans and maintains an orderly work area using the 5S procedure set up.Assist other individuals in the area when needed.Communicates effectively with other workers to direct personal workflow.Promotes teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to company policies, process, and procedures.Perform all other duties as assigned to by ManagementEducation and ExperienceH.S.
