Job summary

Insight Global in Abilene, TX is seeking a Fiber Splicing Technician to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for high-speed data transmission. You will perform fusion splicing, fiber testing, and collaborate with a large team to meet project deadlines while following all safety protocols.

The role requires flexibility for day and night shifts and a full contract duration. Candidates must have at least 3 years of splicing experience, be able to travel to Abilene data center,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of fiber splicing experience.
• Willing to work day and night shifts.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Reliable transportation to the data center site.
• Commitment to the full contract duration (site closed only 3 days for Christmas).
• Must be able to start on December 12th or December 16th.

Responsibilities
