Job summary

KS Staffing Group is seeking experienced Fiber Splicers for a large-scale data center project in Abilene, TX. This long-hour role requires dependable technicians prepared to work 60+ hours per week in a fast-paced data center environment.

Responsibilities include fusion splicing, terminating fiber, interpreting schematics, conducting OTDR tests, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates must have prior fiber splicing experience and be able to work extended shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous professional fiber splicing experience required.
• Experience with fusion splicing and fiber optic testing.
• Ability to read fiber optic prints, schematics, and splice diagrams.
• Experience on large-scale telecommunications, data center, or commercial fiber projects preferred.
• Ability to work 60+ hours per week, including extended shifts and weekends as required.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a physically demanding construction environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

• Maintain accurate splice records, test results, and documentation.
• Work safely around active construction and data center environments.
• Follow project, safety, and quality-control requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work effectively with project managers, foremen, and other technicians to meet production deadlines.

Compensation & Per Diem

• Hourly Pay: Based on experience
• Schedule: 60+ hours per week
• Per Diem: $100 per day
• Long-term project opportunity
• Overtime available based on hours worked and applicable requirements
