Job summary

Ritter Communications in Arkansas seeks a Fiber Splicer to read schematics, splice fiber, coax and copper for new construction and service installs. You will test and terminate components, ensure closures are moisture-free, and travel to customer sites as needed.

The role requires 5 years of telecommunications construction or maintenance, with at least 3 years splicing fiber, and the ability to pass DOT certification. A strong customer focus and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of experience in telecommunications construction or maintenance operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience splicing fiber preferred.
• DOT certification required or ability to obtain at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper for new construction and service installs.
• Prepare cable and perform fusion splices for aerial and underground applications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot outside plant, including vaults, manholes, and demarcation equipment.
• Travel to customer sites and project areas as needed; participate in on-call rotation.
• Ensure all splice closures are airtight and moisture-free; document field activity.
