Job summary

Ritter Communications is seeking a Fiber Splicer to ensure the quality and timely delivery of telecommunications services. This role reads schematics to splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper for new construction and new service installations.

The position also maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs damaged cable in the outside plant network. You will travel to customer sites and collaborate with project managers, landowners, and utility providers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus 5 years of experience in telecommunications construction or maintenance operations required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience splicing fiber preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets schematics to splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper for new construction and service installations.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs damaged cable in the outside plant network.
• Travels to customer sites and project areas as required.
• Works with project managers and/or OSP engineers to perform splicing as directed.
• Performs time tracking for projects and participates in on-call rotations.
