Job summary

Ritter Communications is seeking a Fiber Splicer to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of telecommunications services. The role involves reading schematics to splice, terminate, and test fiber, coaxial, and copper for new installations and service work, as well as maintaining and repairing outside plant networks.

The job requires a High School diploma or equivalent with 5 years in telecommunications construction or maintenance; at least 3 years fiber splicing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 5 years of telecom construction or maintenance operations experience is required
• Minimum of 3 years of fiber splicing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Splice, terminate, and test fiber-optic, coaxial, and copper for new construction and service installations
• Prepare cable and perform fusion splices for aerial and underground applications
• Install actives and passives (nodes, amplifiers, taps, splitters) and demarcation equipment
• Inspect and maintain vaults, manholes, and splices; ensure weather-tight closures
• Travel to customer sites and project areas; collaborate with landowners and utility providers
