Job summary

Viaero Wireless is seeking a Fiber Splicing Manager in Grand Island, Nebraska to provide technical leadership for our fiber optic teams in central and eastern Nebraska. You will mentor field technicians, oversee subcontractors, and ensure production aligns with project timelines.

The role requires 5+ years of fiber splicing experience, OTDR knowledge, and a strong emphasis on safety and training. Expect hands-on field work and a leadership position with responsibility for scheduling and resource

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with fiber splicing, testing and fiber construction.
Experience supervising sub-contractors is helpful.
Ability to pass OSHA-10 certification within 90 days of start date.
Must have valid driver's license and be at least 21 years old.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs repeatedly and operate in different environments.

Responsibilities

Provide training and field supervision of the fiber splicing team.
Maintain field presence and focus on product delivery.
Coordinate resources to meet time and budget requirements for projects.
Supervise fiber splicing and testing crews; ensure tools and trucks are ready.
Document daily progress and report to main office; close out packages within 12 hours of completion.
Promote safety training and development; participate in hiring and onboarding as needed.
