Job summary

Cannon Companies is seeking a Fiber Splicer Technician to join our ISP/OSP Communications Division in the Seattle area. The role requires fiber splicing expertise, bucket truck operation, and a strong safety mindset.

Applicants should have a minimum of 2 years in telecom, be able to pass drug and background checks, and possess a valid driver’s license. A flexible schedule is a plus with day/night shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in the Telecom field.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Bucket truck experience required; operate from bucket safely.
• Willing to work flexible hours (days/nights).
• Positive attitude and high motivation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to distinguish fiber colors.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, splice, test, certify, and document fiber optic cabling inside/outside plant.
• Proficient in fiber termination, splicing, and testing.
• Read and understand complex prints for fiber splicing and equipment installations.
• Support customer needs with strong attention to detail.
• Follow safety procedures and use required equipment.
• Safely operate bucket trucks and aerial lifts during fiber work.
