Job summary

North Sky Communications, LLC is hiring a Fiber Splicer in Sparks, NV. You will fuse optical fibers, perform aerial and underground splices, and test networks to ensure reliable service.

Responsibilities include maintaining cables, documenting production, and adhering to safety and industry standards. A valid driver’s license, ability to pass a DOT medical exam, and 6 months of splicing or 1 year in telecom are required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Valid state driver\'s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical exam and obtain medical card.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records.
• Other duties as assigned
