Job summary

North Sky Communications, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer II to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecom networks. You’ll ensure reliable connections by performing splicing, testing, and post-install troubleshooting on aerial and underground routes.

The role requires at least two years of fiber splicing experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to pass a DOT medical exam. This is an on-site position offering weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam for valid medical clearance.
• At least two years of fiber splicing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Provide guidance to other splicers as needed.
• Document work performed through daily production reports.
