Job summary

Dycom Industries, Inc. is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunications networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing, test circuits, and ensure standards are met while working at various heights.

Daily vehicle maintenance and accurate reporting are also expected. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a DOT physical.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• 6 months of splicing experience or 1 year in the telecommunications industry.
• Able to pass DOT physical exam for a valid medical card.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot network circuits post-installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely work at heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles and fluid checks.
• Document work via daily production reports and map/usage records.
• Other duties as assigned.
