Job summary

Communications Construction Group, LLC is seeking a Fiber Splicer in Hanover, MD to fuse optical fibers and maintain our growing telecom network. This role involves aerial and underground splicing, testing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

With a focus on safety and accuracy, you will document daily work, manage maps and materials, and perform routine vehicle maintenance while contributing to a reliable network for customers.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a DOT physical to obtain a valid medical card.
• 6 months splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications network structure.

Responsibilities

• With guidance, perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network’s circuit post-installation.
• Ensure all splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at heights, from underground to in the air.
• Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks.
• Document work through daily production reports, including maps and material usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
