Job summary

Lambert's Cable in Virginia is seeking a Fiber Splicer to fuse optical fibers and maintain our telecommunication networks. You will perform aerial and underground splicing and test post-installation to ensure reliable connectivity.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months splicing experience or 1 year in telecommunications.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical exam and obtain medical card.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks, both aerial and underground, with guidance.
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot the network after installation.
• Ensure splicing operations meet customer and industry standards.
• Safely navigate working at heights and in various environments (underground to aerial).
• Conduct basic daily maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Document work in daily production reports and map updates.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
