Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Fiber Splicer to build end-to-end fiber optic networks in outdoor field settings across Indiana. You will join a safety-minded team and contribute to high-quality installations and timely repairs.

The role requires 3–5 years of fiber splicing experience, comfort with ladder or bucket trucks, and a hands-on problem-solving approach. Expect varied shifts and opportunities for overtime on long-term projects.

Responsibilities

• Producing end-to-end fiber optic networks.
• Testing and troubleshooting continuity of fiber networks.
• Operate testing equipment and resolve common fiber issues.
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures (Tyco, CommScope, Corning).
• Work on outdoor utility construction sites.
