Job summary

Fluor in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Polymer Machine Operator for a contract assignment at a polymer plant. The role requires 12-hour shifts (4 days on, 4 days off) with rotating day and night schedules.

You will operate can-lifters and forklifts, handle cans, and support production in a hot/cold environment. Candidates should have 2–3 years of manufacturing experience, be able to lift up to 60 lbs, work well in teams or alone, and perform data entry and SOP-based procedures.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of production/manufacturing experience required.
• Be able to operate can-lifter and forklift.
• Be able to lift up to 60 lbs for extended periods of time.
• Have basic computer skills for data entry.
• Must be able to read/write and perform all duties by SOPs; perform mathematical equations.

Responsibilities

• Operate can-lifter. Transport cans to spin and full cans to stretch area.
• Look for opportunities to improve machine efficiency, quality, and reduce waste.
• Read and write and perform duties by SOPs; perform mathematical equations.
• Operate hoist used to transport batteries.
• Data entry.
• Operate forklift and can-lifter in a Safe and Efficient manner.
• Perform any special instructions and/or duties as specified by management.
