Job summary

Lyte Fiber, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a motivated Service Delivery Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain fiber optic internet and Hosted Voice services for SMB customers and residential installs as needed.

You will perform SMB fiber turn-ups, ONT and router configuration, POTS provisioning, and basic network setup while ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Travel up to 75% may be required based on project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair FTTX services for SMB and residential customers.
• Perform SMB fiber installations, service turn-ups, ONT placement, router/network equipment setup, and customer-premise wiring.
• Perform residential fiber installations, including aerial or underground fiber drop connections and in-home wiring.
• Configure customer premises equipment (ONTs, routers, wireless networks) for reliable connectivity.
• Support basic SMB networking needs and coordinate with internal support teams when advanced configuration is required.
• Educate SMB and residential customers on the use of installed hardware and services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including wireless routers, cabling, LAN, and service activation.
• Install, configure, and activate commercial POTS lines for SMB customers and Hosted Voice services.
• Troubleshoot voice service issues and escalate to NOC or voice support as needed.
• Complete installation records and closeout documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and meet quality standards.
