Job summary

Fairfield Processing Corporation is hiring a Production Associate – General Labor to support fiber processing operations in our Danbury facility. You will assist with material handling, machine operation, and daily housekeeping to maintain a safe, efficient workspace.

The role emphasizes following assembly instructions, adhering to safety rules, and teamwork to meet production goals. Prior manufacturing exposure is preferred, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or production.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to do different tasks, like moving materials and using machines.
• Make sure work areas are neat and safe by cleaning up regularly.
• Move materials carefully to avoid damage and keep quality high.
• Learn to operate machines and follow safety rules when using them.
• Learn Assembly Work Instructions and Common defect guidelines provided by management and follow them.
• Keep an eye out for any problems with materials and processes and tell supervisors about them.
• Follow safety rules and wear the proper PPE to keep yourself and others safe.
• Work well with your team and other departments to get the job done.
• This position is performed in a warehouse setting with exposure to loud machinery.
• Hearing protection and other PPE must be worn in accordance with company safety policies.
• The environment may involve exposure to temperature fluctuations and moving mechanical parts.
