Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of relevant OSP underground and aerial telecommunications experience.
• Understanding of network architecture and supporting equipment.
• Strong understanding of outside plant engineering and construction.
• Knowledge of NESC and RUS construction code for telecommunications rules.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve network issues and coordinate with vendors for deployment and maintenance.
• Provide leadership and direction to OSP Engineer resources.
• Design hundreds of miles of outside plant for major network deployment.
• Perform low level fiber engineering using GIS technology.
• Conduct field visits and network verifications.
• Review permits and construction drawings for engineering integrity.
• Maintain records and project documents.
