Job summary

Olsson is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector focused on Fiber/OSP for field observation, inspection, and documentation across project phases. This role requires coordinating with engineers and construction managers, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and engineering plans, and traveling to multiple job sites.

You'll verify quality standards, manage RFIs/submittals, and maintain thorough documentation in diverse terrains and weather.

Qualifications

• Five or more years' experience performing construction inspection specifically with Fiber/OSP.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving history.
• Schedule flexibility for travel to job sites.
• Bisci certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site.
• Reads and interprets plans and specifications at various stages of a project.
• Initiates actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule.
• Solves on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications.
• Works in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction.
• Identifies and avoids potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.
