Job summary

Olsson in Kansas City is seeking a Construction Inspector to support observation, inspection, and documentation across all stages of OSP construction. You will serve as the on-site representative, ensuring fiber installation follows customer requirements and engineering plans while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role requires 5+ years in fiber/OSP inspection, the ability to read drawings and specs, a valid driver's license, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years' experience performing construction inspection specifically with Fiber/OSP.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving history.
• Schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the quality assurance program at the project site.
• Reads and interprets plans and specifications at various stages of a project.
• Initiates actions needed to keep construction progress on schedule.
• Solves on-site problems and situations regarding construction of the project and design modifications.
• Works in all types of terrain and weather conditions on project sites in various stages of construction.
• Identifies and avoids potential hazards for workers and the public in and around project sites.
