Job summary

Prysmian USA in North Carolina seeks an Industrial Control Systems Engineer to architect, refine, and sustain PC and PLC control strategies for our optical fiber production. You will design, develop, and maintain PLC programs across production and facilities.

Work with technical staff to resolve daily issues tied to equipment and control software, and drive commissioning of new production equipment from initial checkout through stable operation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science required.
• Experience programming Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Schneider, and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for manufacturing processes.
• Serve as controls resource for optical fiber production across facilities.
• Work with staff to resolve daily equipment and control software issues.
• Drive commissioning of new production equipment from checkout to stable operation.
• Ensure backups of programs and critical files per plant standards.
