Job summary

Prysmian Group's Claremont Fiber Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our engineering team and advance automation, data analytics, and continuous improvement across fiber production processes.

You will design, implement, and optimize PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, monitor performance, lead root-cause investigations, and partner with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and global engineering teams to deliver higher yield and product quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with large data sets and data-driven decisions.
Experience in optical fiber manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and optimize assigned manufacturing processes to improve yield, quality, productivity, and process stability.
Monitor process performance, analyze data trends, and drive root cause investigations for quality and equipment issues.
Design, maintain, and improve PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems supporting fiber manufacturing operations.
Implement automation and process control improvements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and product quality.
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support for process, automation, instrumentation, and equipment-related challenges.
