Job summary

Prysmian in North Carolina is seeking an Industrial Control Systems Engineer to design, refine, and sustain PC and PLC control strategies for our optical fiber manufacturing operations. You will partner with technical staff to support equipment and control software, from commissioning to steady-state operation, ensuring safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering or CS and hands-on experience with Rockwell, Schneider, or Siemens PLCs, plus strong analytical,

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Computer Science required.
Experience programming Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or Siemens PLCs.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain PLC programs for manufacturing processes and support equipment.
Serve as controls and automation resource across PC-based control, PLC logic, and operator interfaces.
Collaborate with technical staff to resolve daily equipment and control software issues.
Drive commissioning of new production equipment from checkout to stable operation.
Ensure backups of programs and critical files per plant standards.
