PRT Staffing is seeking a motivated Level 1 Fiber Optic Technician in Santa Teresa, NM to join our telecommunications team. This entry-level role involves assisting with installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cabling systems under supervision.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of fiber optic cable, conduit, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Pull, route, and secure fiber optic and low-voltage cabling.
  • Assist with fiber splicing and termination activities.
  • Perform basic testing and troubleshooting using fiber testing equipment.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, schematics, and work orders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
  • Follow all safety procedures and customer site requirements.
  • Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Keep job sites clean, safe, and professional.
  • Support senior technicians with project completion and service activities.

Level 1 Fiber Optic Technician
Position Summary

We are seeking motivated and reliable Level 1 Fiber Optic Technicians to join our growing telecommunications team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in fiber optics and telecommunications infrastructure. Technicians will assist with the installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fiber optic cabling systems while working under the supervision of senior technicians and project leads.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of fiber optic cable, conduit, and telecommunications equipment.
