Job summary

Conexon is seeking an Installation/ QC Technician in Reynolds, GA to support our FTTH deployments. You will install FTTX broadband to residential and commercial customers and ensure on-time performance across multiple sites.

The role reports to the Service and Installation Manager and requires physical stamina and safe operation of equipment. This full-time position demands strong communication, leadership, and a proactive approach to inventory, wiring, testing, and quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• 5+ years in FTTX install and implementation.
• Experience with NISC systems.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds and operate a forklift safely.

Responsibilities

• Installing FTTX broadband service to residential and commercial customers.
• Assures customer services are restored after trouble ticket dispatch.
• Completing interior and exterior cabling of fiber optic and CAT6 ethernet cables.
• Completing quality control checks of other technicians.
• Assigning equipment and material to warehouses, technicians, and customers.
• Assuring proper inventory is maintained at each project location.
• Documenting assignment of inventory within inventory system.
• Complete requisitions and purchase orders within system.
• Track progress of feeder construction and coordinate with field personnel to manage inventory.

We are currently looking for a Installation/ QC Technician to join the Conexon Connect operations team.

Requirements

• Highschool diploma required (College degree preferred)
• > 5 years’ experience in FTTX install implementation
• NISC experience
• Strong P.C. and Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to use optical test equipment including fusion splicers and OTDRs
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Safely operate a company vehicle
• Strong communication skills
• Initiative to work remotely with limited supervision
• Strong leadership skills
• Physically able to lift 100 pounds

Job Responsibilities

• Complete purchase orders within system for vendors and distributors.
• Track progress of feeder construction.
• Communicate with field personnel to assure inventory levels are sufficient.
• Negotiating with vendors to assure procurement.
• Reconciling inventory.
• Updating equipment associated with customers.
• Documenting process and procedure.
• Other duties as assigned by management

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk long distance through varying terrain: crossing ditches, crossing fences
• Ability to walk up and down hill
• Ability to be in and out of the vehicle multiple times a day
