The Congruex team in Wheeling, WV seeks a Fiber Splicing Technician to splice, test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain fiber optic networks, coordinating field activities and delivering high-quality installations for telecom clients.

The role requires 3+ years in fiber optic splicing and telecommunications construction, OSHA 10, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints. Safety-focused, you will work outdoors in all weather and collaborate with teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fiber optic splicing and telecommunications construction experience.
• Experience with underground and aerial fiber optic installation, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Ability to read blueprints, splice matrices, maps, and utility drawings.

Responsibilities

• Splice, test, troubleshoot, repair, and activate underground and aerial fiber optic cable systems.
• Diagnose cable plant issues, perform end-of-line network testing, and provide field documentation and recommendations.
• Read splice matrices, prints, and maps to complete fiber assignments and related documentation.
• Pull fiber cable through ducts or conduit while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain project documentation.
