Qualifications

• 2+ years fiber splicing experience preferred.
• Proficiency with fusion splicers and OTDR equipment.
• Ability to read fiber prints and splice matrices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with both underground and aerial fiber environments preferred.
• Understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Commitment to safety and jobsite professionalism.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform single fiber and ribbon splicing
• Prep and splice loose tube and armored fiber cables
• Build and organize splice enclosures and terminals
• Perform OTDR and power meter testing
• Interpret splice matrices and fiber assignments
• Troubleshoot signal loss and continuity issues
• Upload test results and splice documentation into required systems
• Ensure proper fiber handling and protection
• Maintain clean, organized splice trailers and equipment
• Communicate with project management and field crews
