Job summary

ByVerTek is seeking a Fiber Splicer in the United States, requiring 2–4 years of fiber splicing experience from 12ct to 864ct, with troubleshooting as needed. The role involves field-based work across South Central Florida, traveling to job sites and handling ISP/OSP terminations while ensuring safe, efficient splicing and installation of fiber networks.

The candidate should be able to distinguish colors, work aloft from ladders or platforms, and read engineering prints and facility records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fiber splicing experience
• Knowledge of hot cuts and OTDR testing
• Ribbon splicing knowledge preferred
• Experience in reading outside and subscriber plant facility records and engineering schematics

Responsibilities

• Splice fiber optic cables of large and small counts and Ribbon fiber
• Perform light labor such as lifting manhole covers and barricading open manholes
• Work with ISP/OSP terminations
• Work in and around hand-holes and manholes
