Job summary

Benton Triage is seeking a Fiber Splicer to install, repair, and maintain fiber optic cables in outdoor plant networks. The role involves reading schematics, performing fusion splices, and testing end-to-end service delivery at customer sites.

Candidates should be able to work in varied environments, climb heights, and travel to job sites as needed. A high school diploma and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work nights and weekends if needed to repair outages.
• Experience reading and interpreting schematics and diagrams is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable installation, construction, maintenance, and repair works.
• Prepare cable and perform fusion splices for aerial and underground applications; ensure proper bonding and grounding.
• Locate and repair cable faults to maintain existing network.
• Validate and test end-to-end service provisioning for the cable network.
• Travel to customer sites and project areas as required.
