Job summary

Prysmian Group in the United States is seeking a Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes for fiber optic cable production.

You will collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and support new product introductions, while leading Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar Engineering field.
• 1-year practical experience in manufacturing environment; internships or co-ops acceptable.
• Knowledge of extrusion, polymer processing, and optical fiber handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for fiber optic cable production.
• Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve defects and maintain product integrity.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
