Job summary

Information Consulting Services seeks an experienced Telecom Engineer for a large-scale utility fiber deployment spanning 100+ substations. You will own the technical approach, from requirements gathering to architecture, specifications, vendor coordination, field implementation, and migration.

The role requires extensive telecom expertise, ability to lead cross-functional teams, and coordination with engineering, procurement, and operations across a multi-site program.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in fiber-optic or telecom infrastructure design/deploy.
• Experience with fiber-network design, architecture, routing, and equipment layouts.
• Knowledge of MPLS, DWDM, T1, and related networking tech.
• Experience with creating technical specs, RFPs, and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture of a large-scale fiber network across 100+ substations.
• Gather requirements for fiber connectivity and infrastructure.
• Develop scalable fiber architecture, routing plans, and equipment layouts.
• Create technical specs, statements of work, and RFP documentation.
