Job summary

Gateway Fiber in Northampton, MA is seeking a Fiber Optic Installation Technician to build and finalize our residential fiber network. You will terminate cables, connect homes and businesses, and document work orders to ensure quality deployments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Valid Class E Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift 40–60 pounds and stand or walk up to eight hours.
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites and endure varying weather.
• Familiarity with standard construction site hazards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Terminate fiber optic cables and install fiber optic connections.
• Augment existing network installations and deploy cabinet/node sites.
• Document network installations and perform inspections.
• Audit & inspection of newly completed network construction and repair of damaged infrastructure.
• Provide an exceptional Gateway Fiber experience to the customer and coordinate with dispatch as needed.
