Job summary

ALLO Fiber is hiring a Fiber Optic Cabling Technician to install and test fiber cabling in commercial environments. The role requires physical work, the ability to read blueprints, and a clean driving record.

Travel up to 50% of the time is expected, with work based out of the Omaha area. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of construction experience, strong safety awareness, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years construction experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift approx. 60 pounds safely.
• Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic EMT/ENT cabling pathways, CAT 6, and fiber in commercial buildings.
• Test light levels in newly installed fiber according to procedures.
• Maintain EMT/ENT/PVC pathways and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot fiber-optic and low voltage pathways; perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Travel to various sites; travel may be up to 50% outside the home market.
