Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of hands-on fiber optic installation and termination.
• Proficiency with OTDR testing, fusion splicing, and fiber polishing techniques.
• Experience with single-mode and multimode fiber optic systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical diagrams, blueprints, and work orders.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving, able to work independently.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables in commercial, industrial, and residential environments.
• Perform fiber optic testing using OTDR, power meters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Pull, route, and dress fiber and low‑voltage cabling through conduit, cable trays, and pathways.
• Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic network issues to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for cable installations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, test results, and project progress.
• Adhere to industry standards including TIA/EIA and OSHA safety regulations on all job sites.
