Job summary

Moog Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking an Assembler/Tester to join the Space and Defense Group.

You will assemble fiber optic cables and transceivers, verify parts meet specifications, and take precise measurements using hand tools and automated equipment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) with ability to follow detailed work instructions in English, perform basic math, and work safely in an ESD environment.

Qualifications

• Understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Quality conscious with mechanical aptitude and good dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Make fiber optic cables and/or transceivers by assembling parts and assemblies using hand tools, equipment, and fixtures.
• Assemble complete units and verify finished parts meet specifications.
• Take precision measurements for proper fit using manual/automated equipment.
• Complete one or more phases of the assembly process (inspection, cleaning, assembling, terminating, polishing, testing, packing).
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged or nonconforming assemblies to meet customer specs.
