Job summary

Moog Inc in Cleveland, OH is seeking a 2nd Shift Fiber Optic Solder Technician to join the Space and Defense Team. You will report to the Production Supervisor and work onsite from 3:30 pm to 12:00 am, Monday through Friday, on components and assemblies requiring precision hand soldering.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years hand soldering experience, 1 year microscope inspection, and the ability to read drawings; IPC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hand soldering experience in a manufacturing or electronics production environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of microscope inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from assembly drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency with standard office software including Microsoft Office and tablet devices.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and follow work instructions, drawings, blueprints, processes, and procedures to perform hand soldering in accordance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Use microscopes and other inspection equipment to solder, assemble, rework, and repair wires, cables, and small electronic components on PCBs and assemblies.
• Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications; report defects or issues.
