Primary Services seeks a Construction Manager to lead fiber optic network maintenance and OSP construction in Houston. You will oversee a 10–12 person field crew, balance 60% hands-on field work with 40% administration, and drive project timelines while coordinating with leadership.

The role requires hands-on leadership in aerial and underground fiber construction, repairs, and capital improvements, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, reporting, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with telecommunications line crews and fiber optic construction required.
• Experience as a Telecom Line Foreman, OSP Construction Supervisor, Fiber Maintenance Supervisor, or comparable field leader.
• Proficiency in scheduling and reporting using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Knowledge of safety practices in telecommunications construction and field operations.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily fiber optic maintenance, outside plant (OSP) construction, and capital improvement activities.
• Supervise approximately 10–12 field employees, assigning work, coordinating schedules, and monitoring performance.
• Oversee aerial and underground fiber construction, lashing, rerouting, damage repairs, and network maintenance.
• Work alongside field crews when additional hands-on assistance is needed.
• Coordinate emergency repairs, service restoration, and storm-related network response activities.
• Monitor project progress, crew productivity, safety practices, and construction quality.
• Plan labor assignments, equipment needs, and field resources to meet operational priorities.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, work schedules, maintenance records, and operational reports.
• Use Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and related applications for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
• Coordinate with leadership and internal departments to resolve field issues and maintain project timelines.
• Manage administrative responsibilities while maintaining a consistent presence at active jobsites.
