Primary Services is seeking an OSP Construction Foreman in Houston to lead a 10–12 person field crew through fiber optic maintenance and construction projects. You will manage 60% field operations and 40% administrative tasks on a primarily daytime schedule, ensuring safety and timely completion of assignments.

Responsibilities include scheduling, reporting, and coordination with leadership, while staying hands-on with aerial and underground fiber work and capital improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience leading telecommunications line crews and fiber optic construction.
• Experience as a Telecom Line Foreman, OSP Construction Supervisor, or Fiber Maintenance Supervisor.
• Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Teams and field scheduling/reporting.

• Supervise approximately 10–12 field employees, assigning work and coordinating schedules.

• Coordinate emergency repairs, service restoration, and storm responses.

• Work alongside field crews when additional hands-on assistance is needed.

• Plan labor assignments, equipment needs, and field resources to meet operational priorities.


• Maintain accurate project documentation, work schedules, maintenance records, and operational reports.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with telecommunications line crews and fiber optic construction required.


• Experience as a Telecom Line Foreman, OSP Construction Supervisor, Fiber Maintenance Supervisor, or comparable field leader.


• Working knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction, lashing, rerouting, damage repairs, and network maintenance.


• Experience supervising field personnel, coordinating crew schedules, and assigning construction or maintenance activities.


• Ability to perform fieldwork alongside crews when necessary, with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and computer-based scheduling and reporting.


• Experience maintaining construction documentation, work records, and operational reports.


• Knowledge of telecommunications construction safety practices and field operations.


• Military leadership experience is a plus, but not required.


• Ability to work onsite in Houston, with flexibility for occasional after-hours emergencies, outages, storms, and major projects.
