Job summary

Shentel in Marietta, OH is seeking a Telecom Performance Technician I - Field Technician. Install and support commercial voice, video, and data services across fiber networks, assist with deployments and upgrades, and provide remote diagnostics and maintenance at headends, hubs, POPs, and customer sites.

Requires CCNA/CCNP preferred and an Associate's Degree; 3+ years in advanced technician roles. Up to 25% travel; outdoor work; lifting up to 70 lbs; join a dynamic telecom team.

Qualifications

• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Associate's Degree in Electronics/Networking/Electrical engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of Advanced Technician experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install and support commercial voice, video, and data customers across fiber networks.
• Assist with commercial fiber deployments during optical network upgrades.
• Provide technical support, remote diagnostics, maintenance and installation of equipment in headends, hubs, POP sites and customer locations.
• Integrate new technologies and network upgrades to support broadband fiber/coax connectivity.
