Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to perform application engineering of telecommunications outside plant in a local serving exchange. You will work with Network Planning, Central Office, Transmission and Operations to support growth, replacements and upgrades of plant facilities.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, along with 3+ years of outside plant experience, permitting knowledge, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in an outside plant position.
• Experience with ROW, easements, and permitting.
• Valid State Driver's License with clean record.
• Pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Design outside plant projects locally.
• Support Build projects and reviews.
• Coordinate with utilities for joint trench.
• Attend preconstruction meetings.
• Manage construction activities and project planning.
• Prepare cost estimates and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with ROWs and permitting.
