Job summary

Metronet is seeking an OSP Field Supervisor in Colorado to lead safe, high-quality fiber network construction on-site. You will inspect aerial and underground work, manage trackers and budgets, and respond promptly to neighborhood concerns as part of a team delivering fast, reliable connectivity.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a proven track record in field construction. Travel and outdoor work are expected in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 3–5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Experience in quality control and outside aerial plant construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of specifications, standard practices, and safety.
• Inspect aerial fiber cable placement on poles and splice points and underground conduit per specs.
• Approve all unitized completed aerial work to Metronet’s standards.
• Manage the OSP Construction Tracker.
• Monitor the approved budget for assigned work orders.
• Respond to utility strikes; investigate and document within 24 hours; retrain or terminate contractors as needed.
• Conduct weekly safety, construction, and quality audits of contractors.
• Identify contractor training needs and arrange training.
• Ensure weekly safety tailgate meetings with contractor crews, in the workers' preferred language.
