GCS Recruitment seeks a Remote Fiber Network Analyst to interpret OTDR results and guide field engineers through testing and troubleshooting. This contract role focuses on ISP/OSP fiber deployments, with strong emphasis on fiber-characterization, OTDR tracing, and documentation for rapid path validation.
Ideal candidates bring hands-on fiber-testing experience, EXFO/FastReporter familiarity, and solid debugging skills to resolve fiber transport issues remotely.
Remote | Contract | $43-$45/hr
We are supporting a major network infrastructure organization looking for a Fiber Network Analyst to provide remote technical support across ISP and OSP fiber deployments.
This is not a traditional field technician position. The Fiber Analyst serves as the technical point of contact for fiber-testing interpretation and troubleshooting, reviewing test results from field engineers and helping determine why a fiber path is not performing as expected.
You will review OTDR and other optical test results, analyze distance and loss measurements, reference network diagrams and fiber-route documentation, and guide field engineers through troubleshooting and retesting until the fiber is validated and ready for service.
